Sunday-Reed-final.jpg

Sunday Reed is widely considered one of the most important figures in modern Australian culture.

Her home, Heide, became a gathering place for artists to meet, talk and work. As well as being an artists’ haven, Heide was also a cat heaven. Sunday built a large cattery, known as the ‘cat chateau’, to house her many moggies. She treated its residents like royalty, providing them with the finest catnip secretly sourced from Kew Gardens in London.
